DIE VETERAMA - The original

50 years of VETERAMA – the original celebrates its anniversary in Mannheim!

Mannheim has been the birthplace and heart of VETERAMA since 1975 – and in 2025 we will be celebrating half a century of passion for classic cars, modern classics and classic technology here, where it all began.

What once started on a small site with just a few dealers and enthusiasts is now Europe’s largest and most renowned trade fair for classic vehicles and spare parts. With over 26 kilometers of exhibition space, the Maimarkt grounds in Mannheim are transformed every autumn into a paradise for mechanics, collectors and restorers from all over the world.

This is where rarities and restoration objects, new parts and originals, professional mechanics and first-time visitors meet. Between the smell of oil, shop talk and the hunt for that “one part” you’ve been looking for for years, a unique VETERAMA moment is created every year – and 2025 will be particularly special: we are celebrating 50 years of VETERAMA – where it all began.

Be there when Mannheim becomes the center of the classic car scene – and experience the rustiest hobby in the world in its most beautiful form.

where does the name veterama come from?

VETERAMA – grown out of passion.

The name “VETERAMA” stands for “Veteranen-Markt-Mannheim” – and for a success story that began in 1975 with an idea from two classic car enthusiasts: Winfried A. Seidel and Walter Metz. What started out as a small scene event is now Europe’s largest trade fair for vintage and classic cars.

Every year in October, Mannheim becomes a hotspot for mechanics, collectors and lovers of historic vehicles. Thousands of visitors and exhibitors from all over the world come together to discover rare spare parts, accessories and unique classics – and to celebrate what unites them all: a passion for old technology and living automotive history.
