{"id":5759,"date":"2025-04-25T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/veterama.de\/2025\/04\/25\/clear-to-go-at-the-hockenheimring\/"},"modified":"2025-10-07T18:12:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T16:12:04","slug":"clear-to-go-at-the-hockenheimring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/veterama.de\/en\/2025\/04\/25\/clear-to-go-at-the-hockenheimring\/","title":{"rendered":"Clear to go at the Hockenheimring"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Dear exhibitors,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Dear visitors,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Welcome to the spring VETERAMA at the Hockenheimring.<\/p>\n\n<p>On this weekend, where normally powerful racing cars train or compete for trophies, automotive history on two and four wheels made its appearance.<\/p>\n\n<p>The scene of mechanics, hobbyists and collectors meets just in time for the &#8220;spring awakening&#8221; before the season of classic car rallies and leisurely rides begins.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the moment, there are also clear signs that our hobby is returning to the &#8220;real classic car scene&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The &#8220;<strong>car invest faction<\/strong>&#8221; has obviously realized that a gold bar in a safe is a better investment than investing in a classic car where you can&#8217;t even be sure whether the stamped chassis number actually comes from the manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n<p>But other models, which are actually quite staid, have also taken part in this price gallop without inhibitions.<\/p>\n\n<p>Take the Mercedes Benz W 113 (Pagoda), for example, of which 48,912 units were built with the 230\/250 and 280 engine variants.<\/p>\n\n<p>Offering such a vehicle for up to \u20ac300,000 was simply audacious. Now you can definitely find good vehicles under \u20ac100,000 again. <\/p>\n\n<p>I actually praise the bread and butter cars of the 1930s. A DKW F6, F7, F8, an Opel P 4, a BMW Dixi, an Adler Trumpf Junior or a Hanomag have actually remained in the scene and there are also vehicles in the youngtimer scene that beginners can afford. <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Because for all these screwdrivers and hobbyists, our beautiful hobby consists of two parts.<\/p>\n\n<p>Part one, resurrecting an old or youngtimer that has been parked sometime and somewhere&#8230;. can take years. <\/p>\n\n<p>And then one day comes part two, and that is the first trip with the self-restored classic car.<\/p>\n\n<p>When a few people stand at the side of the road and wave happily, it&#8217;s the best reward for the many hours of work that have gone into saving a piece of mobile cultural heritage. Without any financial ulterior motive&#8230; <\/p>\n\n<p>VETERAMA emerged from this scene and there are still two VETERAMAs a year for this scene.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>We hope that you will once again find many items that you have written down on your wish list this year.
